Clauson to Drive Fastenal Dodge
CGRFS Nashville Superspeedway Advance Notes
Race: Pepsi 300 on Saturday, March 22 (NNS)
Track: Nashville Superspeedway (1.33-mile oval)
Location: Lebanon, Tenn.
Bryan Clauson and the No. 40 Fastenal Dodge (NNS)
Clauson’s Nashville Stats: This weekend’s stock car run at Nashville will not be Clauson’s first effort at the 1.33-mile oval. The teen competed at the Tennessee track last August in the Toyota ARCA 150 during which he started eighth and finished second. Altogether in 2007, he made six ARCA starts, collecting one win, one pole, four top-five and six top-15 finishes.
Rookie Standings: Clauson still sits second in the Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings. He has a current tally of 43 points, just 15 behind NNS rookie class leader and fellow teammate Dario Franchitti.
Owner Standings Update: The No. 40 team is 19th in the NNS owner standings. The team is 83 points outside the top 10 and 231 away from first.
No. 40 Fastenal Dodge (NNS): Chassis #557. This is the same car Clauson raced at Lowe’s Motor Speedway last fall, when he made his third NNS start. The 18-year-old racer scored a 14th-place starting position earlier in the day and then went on to avoid two colossal on-track collisions to finish the night in 20th. This will be the car’s first race this season.
